Better Pain Management with Tramadol
Tramadol is Good in Depression.
Tramadol is a painkiller which has a centrally acting analgesic structure related to that of morphine and codeine. It is a better option for the treatment of pain than the other two. The analgesic activity of Tramadol is contributed in two different mechanisms; Tramadol and metabolites are agonists of mu opiate receptors. It inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake. This increases the inhibitory effects on the transmission of pain in the spinal cord.
The drug is available in the forms of capsules for oral use, solution for intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intravenous injections, and as suppositories for rectal use. The solution and suppositories should only be used by the doctors. The oral formulations of Tramadol should not be used unless prescribed by the physicians. It dissolves completely and rapidly after the oral administration. The oral formulation also comes in two forms, the immediate release and the extended release.
